Why Christians Should Stand Against Antisemitism

  • Antisemitism is wrong.

  • “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18, Matthew 22:39).

  • We believe in a Jewish Messiah (Jesus).

  • We believe in a Jewish book (the Bible), written by Jewish people.

  • The core of our faith is based on a Jewish covenant (Jeremiah 31:31) and promises from the Jewish prophets (Daniel 9:24–26, Isaiah 53).

  • One can’t love the Jewish Messiah and hate His people.

With love, we seek to understand and serve the Jewish community. We commit to stand with the Jewish community against antisemitism.

Scripture is very clear that we each should love our neighbors as ourselves. This is stated in the Torah (the first five books of the Hebrew Bible) in Leviticus 19:18 and by Jesus in Matthew 22:39. Shared religious heritage is something that can and should unify Jewish people with Christians of diverse backgrounds. This shared heritage is even more pronounced when you realize that, as Christians, we believe in a Jewish book (both the Old and New Testaments were written by Jewish authors) and follow a Jewish Messiah (Jesus). We are grafted into a Jewish covenant (Jeremiah 31:31 makes it clear that the New Covenant is with the “house of Israel and the house of Judah”). The very core of Christian faith and identity—forgiveness through the sacrifice of the Messiah—is something that was foretold by the Jewish prophets (Isaiah 53, Daniel 9:24–26, Psalm 22).

The Time Is Now

Antisemitism is a growing concern worldwide. Since the October 7 massacre in Israel, incidents of antisemitism have increased by 400% in the United States alone, according to data from the American Jewish Committee. This number is much higher in some countries. A new 2025 report from the Combat Antisemitism Movement confirms that antisemitic incidents worldwide have not declined but continue at elevated levels even years after October 7, 2023. These statistics are alarming and show that we need to take immediate action against this form of discrimination.

Even some who identify as Christians have been perpetrators of this hate. There’s a long history of Christian antisemitism, and sadly, it still exists today. Ephesians 2:14 called this ancient division between Jew and Gentile a “dividing wall of hostility” and today, we can see that divide as many Christians have forgotten the roots of their faith and the commandments of God.

But now, believers across the globe are stepping up to take a stand to express our support and solidarity with the Jewish community. And you can be part of it.

You Can Make a Difference

Christians Against Antisemitism is a movement that exists so that Christians can publicly and visibly express that antisemitism is unacceptable and is contrary to the teachings of Jesus and the New Testament.

As Christians Against Antisemitism, together we can:

  • Stand with the Jewish community against antisemitism in all its forms.

  • Stand against hate and show love to our neighbors as the Bible commands.

  • Find common ground in our shared beliefs in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and a hope for redemption and restoration for our world.

  • Demonstrate God’s love for His people.

Opposing hatred of the Jewish people is not a political stance, it is a moral one. Antisemitism is evil. It thrives in silence. It weakens when people with integrity refuse to tolerate it, first in their own hearts, and then in the world around them.
